2,000,000

Tanya Golash-Boza, an associate professor of sociology at University of California-Merced, reports that 2.1 million people were deported by the U.S. government in the 105-year span covered by records between 1892 and 1997.
In its first six years, the Obama administration has already deported a population of equal size.
